Chikitsa Medical Services commenced its operations in the Verna Industrial Estate by starting its 1st hospital CHIKITSA HOSPITAL , on the 13th of April 2002 and from the 1st of May 2002 went operational for 24 hrs to commemorate the Workers Day.
The need for hospital facilities were impending, considering the number of industries operating and the large number of workers , who traveled to work in the industries.
Our aim is to provide Total Medical Solutions. We want to be totally in tandem with the needs of industries that operate in the industrial estate, and therefore we stressed upon Emergency Management & Occupational Health Services.
Over the years , Chikitsa Medical services are into Multi Specialty Hospitals , Occupational Health Services, Medical Evacuation .Detox & Rehab services.

Chikitsa Hospital is the only hospital fully equipped in the vicinity of 15 Kms, the nearest being the Goa Medical College in Bambolim and the Hospicio hospital in Margao. The large number of workers, who work in the various industries operating in the Verna Industrial Estate have at times to do tedious and hazardous jobs that are not life threatening , but can cause serious physical ailments as well permanent partial disability if medical treatment is not meted out in quick-time. Chikitsa Hospital has, in this last 10 years has gone a long way in providing medical care to such time cases as well as treating emergency cases of high fever while on job. Chikitsa Hospital can be the first point contact for medical emergency cases like, falls from heights, crush injuries, Amputations, Burns – Chemical & Electrical.
In the year 2004, Government Of Goa, notified Chikitsa Hospital as a E.S.I. hospital so that vital time is not lost in treating medical emergencies of workers who are working the factories operating the Verna Industrial Estate. In the year June’2007 , the Government of Goa increased the scope of treatment under the ESIC scheme.
